This restaurant looks slightly uninspiring from outside. However, their outside seating area is lovely. Starter - typical Israeli salads - are provided free - although you pay for the Garlic bread to go with them. My husband had a skewer of lamb and I had lavrak (an Israeli Sea Bass) We shared a salad and had chips. All the food was excellent and arrived hot. The cost of these, together with a decent bottle of wine was about £60. We went to this restaurant twice and were not disappointed.

It's been around for years but this was the first time I went in. Good fillet, good service, and nice location.

Our hotel recommend this restaurant and after trying it for the first time, here are my thoughts:

- Good value for money. We had one Gulf Kebab, Shwarma and a local beer which cost 140 shekels total)
- food was pretty tasty and satisfying. You get complimentary bread and salad. The bread was fresh, delicious and fluffy, the best I've had
- Nice atmosphere, not too pretentious
- Good service and food comes quick
- I am repeating what others have said on the thread: don't buy wine as it is the priciest thing on the menu, around 100 shekels)

Good and satisfying experience overall

In the Marina ....by the bridge is the Gulf kebab house which is a great Meat experience in friendly surroundings.... Very good & quick service Had a lovely evening..must go back.

Like Aksioma we were given an advertising blotter and we also gave it a try. We came back next day. This was a great restaurant. First of all: you eat outside, under a canopy that definitely gives it the right atmosphere. Next, the restaurant is constantly full - we've seen three shifts! - and the clientele is mainly Israelian and Russian and gloriously, deafeningly noisy. That feels very much ok, a feeling that is enhanced by the offering of the free starter: a large, warm pita bread with lots of side dishes. For such a full restaurant the food is served amazingly quick and it's good. Try the labrak, a local fish. Lot's of meat and veggie options as well. The wine is expensive - but after a long and hot day you'll want to go for beer; the Israelian Goldstar is great. For a restaurant in the tourist area the food is cheap. A true 'mediterranean' experience!
